Working Alone
Does anyone have a job that requires an employee to work alone? If so, what protocol/documentation do you have for it?

Although it's across the pond, HSE UK (their equivalent of OSHA) has some good guidance on lone worker safety.

I am surprised OSHA doesn't say more about lone workers. There is nothing in the GI standards about lone workers.
In my industry, lone workers are common. We currently don't have anything in place right now. I have been looking at monitoring technology for tracking lone workers and alerting for non movement or falls.

I never liked the idea of working alone.
I also got radios that had the man down feature. If someone fell over from incident or fainting, it would notify every other radio on-site.
The make other items that do this as well.
The types of work I'm allowed to schedule to a lone worker is very limited. Cannot include LOTO, working at heights using a ladder, hot work, working around sharp objects (I think this is in the list... I'm going from memory).
