Virtual Walkway Projectors
Has anyone had any experience using virtual walkway projectors? If so, what are your thoughts on them compared to the tradition methods of painted walkways and signs? I love the idea of them especially in our facility where the paint chips easily because of the ground we built the facility on, but the upfront cost is fairly steep and might be difficult to get approval from management.

Never heard of such a thing - but love to see this! Any idea what the ROI might be on a decision like this, as in what's the estimated payback to the business over time?
I saw a projected sign for Top Golf at a Marriot this last weekend. It looked like a small projector, but what it seemed to me that it had a high intensity LED projector beam. This beam may have issues with dust or uneven surfaces. And I bet it had a higher than usual energy drain.
I have a couple out there within the network for ped lanes and they are excellent, haven't heard any issues and a long term ROI when you don't have to do constant 5S projects to replace tape or high spend on repainting routinely. There's some capital cost upfront, but over a 5-7 year depreciation its not terrible. I'd recommend piloting first at one or two high traffic intersections or hazard areas and see how they work for you before going full tilt on ped lanes across your entire facility. You may even get some Ops buy in as well, can also be effective for inbound/outbound staging lanes on loading docks as well.
