Gus' Words to Start the Week!
This is Gus. He is my pal and an English Cream Golden Retriever. He is 80 pounds but was the "runt of the liter" and has thus short legs. He is probably a good 3" shorter than any of our other Goldens (he is #6). His nickname is "Stubby". He is 20 months old and if I do not take him to the woods with me he is very upset! We are best pals! His Monday Words of wisdom are:
Don't Lie,
Don't Cheat,
Always Do Your Best!
& To XXXXX (to heck) with the REST!
We are going to the woods Wednesday. We may have snow on the ground then.

OHHHHH! He is SUPER adorable!!!
I absolutely adore goldens. My first pup as an adult was one. His name was Tyrus (named after Tyrus Raymond Cobb). SOOOOO smart, but he was more trouble than my son in both of their first 2 years of life. 😂 I've never had a dog as good as him.
I want to share though, that I had a bunch of goldfish and a catfish when we were stationed in San Diego. Every time we would leave for a weekend trip, we had an automatic feeder, but it never failed that we'd come home to a dead goldfish.
....Except one time.
One time there was one alive but his fins (including tail) were all bit down. From that day, his name was Stubby. That boy was STRONG and could swim like no other!
